How do you get your kids to love art?

Turn them into it!

Hayden has always loved to color and draw for as long as she has been able to hold a pen.

We love coloring together and we even color ON EACH OTHER to make things fun. She has come to have fun drawing on herself too, (not to mention the poor dog as you saw in my last post). She's even very careful about getting the bottom of her toes!

But for the last week or so she has been on a little "kick"!

Not only does she draw on herself.....

Lately she has taken it to a WHOLE new level. She picks out her color of choice, hands it to me, lays down on my lap and MAKES me draw on her face! LOL!!!

I think it must feel good and must be quite soothing to her because she lays there with a look on her face like she had just gotten a Swedish massage!

It's not that we haven't drawn on each other before. It's that she basically dictates what color and where she wants me to draw while making herself comfortable while I do it. Kinda like it's a "spa day" for her.... I'm not sure how much fun this little girl can get but WE ARE LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF HER CREATIVITY!
